This week, you and your children will put on a puppet show based on the Aesop's fable The Lion and the Mouse. This fun activity is a great way to practice the skill of speaking out loud while learning social-emotional lessons from the story. • Glue
• Scissors
• Craft sticks

For 3 participants, each will need a copy of the prewritten script on page 2 (here)

Click to read The Lion and the Mouse. You can find this book in your Footsteps2Brilliance app under Level 3 (Blue) in the Aesop’s Fables series. Read the book with your child, then complete the activity.

Print and cut your lion, mouse, and narrator stick puppets. 

Color them in. Glue the colored puppets onto a craft stick.

Have each participant choose one character. Using the script, take turns reading lines for your character. Be creative with the voices you use.
